First things first... A couple weeks ago, the dear Shauna, at Trying to Stay Calm, had a giveaway in honor of her 100th post. I was one of the lucky 3 to win! To go along with her blog title, the prize was a calming, lavender bath set. I was so excited to win, and even more excited when I received the package the next day! She is certainly a very thoughtful, and caring friend!
The gorgeous flowers, I got from the dentist I did my externship with. I was so bummed that I forgot to take the camera with me on my lat day there. I wanted to get a picture of the crew, but as you can see (or can't see) I don't have any pics of them. :( Well, I still have the memories and aquired a TON of knowledge that will help me in the future. Because of hard times ahead, Dr. Haynie wasn't able to hire me, but gave me some very positive recommendations. (In other words, I am on the hunt for a job - just like hundreds of other folks!) The card says.. "This is the saddest goodbye that has ever been said....With lots of well wishes for good times ahead" Of course, it was signed by every member on his staff. It was a little sad, but I was so grateful to finally be finished with school. And I am proud to say, I completed my studies with a 4.0! Yay! In June, I will graduate on the Presidents List! I never thought it was possible, and yet, it was.
These are a few of my FAVORITE girls! Cheyenne, Makenzie, and Kaitlynn. (Yes, C & K are twins).We had our monthly family birthday party this past Sunday. I LOVE it when the girls just want to cuddle up next to me. I keep waiting (but not looking forward to) the day they tire of me. They have been attached since I moved back to Utah. For a while, I thought they were getting all the time they could with me in case I left again. Now they know I am here to stay.
Kenzie, the 2 yr old, is very picky about who she will go to. Although she has gotten much better, it's never a worry that she will wander off with a stranger! That girl has got a good set of lungs! When she trusts you, she is so loving! It never fails, when she sees me, she has to run over and grab a hold of my leg. Then, when I pick her up, she puts her little arms around me as tight as she can, to the point of having me in a choke hold! And there, she stays. I LOVE being an aunt! God has blessed me with 10 nieces and a nephew. (poor kid!)
One of my favorite things about the older girls, is when they come sit by me at church. Cheyenne is usually the one to sit right be
side me. If I don't put my arm around her, she will grab my arm and put it there herself. THEN, she likes me to rub her cheek, neck, chin, ear, etc. She sits there practically catatonic. If I stop, the spell is broken until she grabs my hand and places it back on her cheek. (This could be a problem with the boys when they are older...) They both love it! Everything has to be equal with them. Anytime I walk up behind one of them and tickle her, the other one smiles really big and comes over, turns around, and waits for me to do the same to her. They are such good friends to each other, as well. What a lucky girl I am to be in their lives!
